Rules & Guidelines

Library Rules

Please follow these guidelines to maintain a productive study environment for everyone.

Dress Code
Formal dress code during regular hours. Casual attire is permitted during evening hours for your comfort.

Food and Drinks
No food or drinks inside the library except water. This preserves cleanliness and prevents damage to materials.

Belongings
Store your belongings at the main entry upon entering the library. This keeps the space tidy and prevents disturbances.

Chair Arrangement
After using any chairs, rearrange them to their original positions to maintain a neat and organized environment.

Seating Etiquette
You may use the sofa seating but please refrain from napping. Seating must be available for others who need it.

Silence & Noise
Maintain silence in the library at all times. Loud conversations, phone calls, and disruptive noise are strictly prohibited.

Book Handling
Handle all library books and materials with care. Do not write in, tear, or damage any library property.

Booking Required
Discussion rooms and board games must be booked in advance through the JNEC Facilities portal.

Return Items
Return all borrowed items in complete and undamaged condition after use.

Evening Hours
During semester end exams, the library is open till 11:00 PM. Students must sign the evening logbook for entry and exit.
